LED/MH vs. LED/T5 vs. MH/T5

Which one do you think will be most beneficial?
Which one would you go with?

I have LED/T5, I think it gives the best of everything. Greatest color range, greatest control, best color pop, and energy savings.

MH / T5 or just MH. Its a proven combination and has been for a VERY long time.

Right now I have a mh hqi an t5 set up I love the natural look an light shimmer but the heat is killing me I've been wanting to post this same post the last couple days I'm interested in leds but I'm worried about spending that much money an be disappointed an going right back

I have 6 A.I aqua illuminations sol blue on my 270g reef, and i love them, and no heat!

My MH/T5 has served me very well for a LONG time now. And I believe in the theory of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"............

I voted MH/LED just cause thats what i just set up on my tank about 5 mins ago, so well see how I like the setup and ive never had used t5s so thats my vote..

Definitely NOT LED. I would go MH + T5

After 1.5 years, my LED light SUCKS!!! Growth, color, shimmer was GREAT when I FIRST GOT MY LED SYSTEM....NOW.....IT SUCKS!!!

Go with a PROVEN WINNER - Metal Halide.

Better growth, better shimmer, much, much more reliable.

I have tried MH, the color is great and the shimmer is awesome but the heat and directional light suck.

Would you mind sharing what brand and model LED fixture you have and some of the problems it has given you?

Some people where asking about my tank so here are the pics, all from a cell phone by the way so I don't have any quality pics. Tank specs are in my signature. The lights are in a canopy so its hard to get a decent pic of them.
All LEDs have been on tank for 14+ months, and I added the two t5s about 6 months ago.
