So I'm setting up a 80 gallon tank soon, and I'm building the stand right now, I want to go Led on this tank, and I'm thinking of going with ocean revive. The only issue is that I can't hang anything from the ceiling, and I can't attach anything to the wall. I need help designing something that can rest on the tank. Also I don't want a canopy because it's a rimless tank. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

My thought would be some sort of pedestal mount from the ground.

I bent a couple of pieces of conduit, painted them black and stuck some furniture end-caps on it. Couple of screws to the back of the stand and you are golden.

I bolted heavy aluminum channel to the back of my stand and attached hinges to my DIY LED array below. You can do something similar and just hinge or support aluminum T-moulding or ??? to hang your fixtures from.

I helped a friend who could not mount anything to the ceiling and the wall make a hanging fixture. What we did was take a piece of 3/4" conduit and bent a 90. We tracked the conduit to the stand. So that we could turn the fixture on the tank we used a TEE from black pipe which fits almost perfectly on the conduit and added lengths of pipe to the tee. We also used caps to give it that finished look.
