Can someone point me in the right direction. What is the good stuff. What wattage do i need per light?

So for a 48x24x24 what would u suggest, I want both sps and lps.

also should i mix it like the following... 1 cool white with every 1 royal blue, 1 cool white to every 2 royal blue, or 1 cool white to every 3 royal blue. Im not that big into the blue background also. I like it to be more white but I also want to keep in mind that the blue helps with growth correct?

24 3w each leds per 2 feet of tank ,so 48 will do. if you go more you will burn some corals. 36-48 per heat sink is too much.

You're basing this on what?

I have 60 over each 2ft section.

I have 24 3w crees over my 16x24x8" frag tank, it lights it up well but it is only 8" deep and I haven't burnt any corals. For a tank that is 24" deep you are going to want more than 24 LEDs. I think firebretha's recommendation is a good one.

or 2x 36?

And should I do it 1white to every 1blue
And stop me if im wrong but isnt it also 1 driver for every 12 leds?

I don't like my lighting too blue but now that I have the LEDs I realize that a 2:1 blue/white ration would have been a good way to go. I would spend the extra couple of bucks and go with dimmable divers this way you can acclimate your corals easier and you can also fine tune the color you want. How many LEDs you put on a driver depends on the driver. I would start with 36 LEDs on each and add more if you find it necessary. That's what is great about LEDs, you can always change it so suit your needs. I would also PM or give bill from reefled a call. They are a sponsor here and great to deal with and he will hook you up with exactly what you need.

No need to be so defensive, no one said you were bashing anyone. I just happen to agree with firebretha, that's my opinion, you gave yours and I'm sure that will help the OP make an informed decision.

my opinion would be the 48 per heatsink. Yes do the dimmable drivers, they give you more flexibility. Go to the LED specific Forum and you will find alot of useful information and alot of build threads to give you ideas on how to build one. Bill's website also has how to's when building your lights.
