What LEDs are you using?

I was using reef breeder value fixtures but switched to hydra 26s. Check out the tank spotlight series, it was last months tank spotlight. The reefbreeders grew coral great, just needed a bit more power. I target 300-400 PAR on acros running 2:1 blues:whites and related colors.

Awesome thread
thank you, like @hart24601 said you are going to have to find your PAR/want work for you. I was think that I need a different, more expensive lighting, but just take your time and make minor changes. My LFS runs there lights about the same as I do with the percentages.

Without question an all LED tank is possible. I ran two Apollos for about 3 years before adding a Mars Aqua about eight months ago.

I am giving away/throwing away corals they grow so fast. I'm kicking myself for ever putting in monti cap....I throw that away by the bucket.....it's a weed.
You throw them away because they lost the color?

I'm throwing it away because it grows too fast.

@246 watts for both, 156 for T5s and @ 90 for LEDs . No kill-a-watt meter to know for sure though. I use the T5s for my lower light LPSs and the LEDs for the light overs. Hope that helps some.
