LED or T5

if you run with the whites turned down so low. how are you sure your getting the full spectrum and not just making it look good to you?

just thinking about it. but if you turn down the white and run just the t5 I'd think that it wouldn't be enuf for sps.

Because the sps and corals color and grow just fine.

If I go with the 2 bulbs suggested would I want to go with reef breeders standard light configuration or have a custom layout built?

Personally i would just do the standard full spectrum leds and turn down channels to your liking. Custom wouldnt be bad option either just make sure there are some whites too. If its to white itll be easier to change a coral+ to a blue+ rather than trying to change diodes.

A friend has tje reefbreders with mo leds and his tank looks good and colors pop nice. But shadowing of sps especially is the main reason i use and suggest some t5 with leds

Personally, I would go for the t-5 set up and add a Reef Brite XHO blue strip. I have used all options in lighting and like the t-5's best with the pop of the blue LED's. My main display is 150w MH with LED blues. Secondary tank is t-5

Thanks for all the help. If I go with the Reef BREEDERS 32 inch led and 2 48 inch t5s, how far of the water should I hang the leds and the t5s?

Ive tried many variations and it seems that adding a T5 with leds gives even distribution throughout the tank and the color and growth we all look for.Reefbreeders and ATI combo:thumb:
