Led over kill???

I just bought a 120w led from my friend I want to put it on my 29g Bio cube would this be way to much light or can I just put it high above the tank I don't want to kill all my corals

i would hang it up high and lower it down slowly over time if it's not dimmable.if it's dimmable,start at 35% and slowly rev it up 5% every week untill you get to 65%.I keep my led at 65 cause i find that's what my corals do best at in that intensity
 
Its not dimmable so I guess Ill just hang it high

That's a whole lot of light for a little tank. You'll probably be OK if you hang it high, but you'll also have a lot of overspill light.

Waaaay too much light wwaaaay waaaaaaay waaaaaaaaay too much. Although, as mentioned, it might be OK if you hang it 3 feet above the tank. Trade it towards a sol blue maybe?
 
I have a big 148w cree LED unit over a shallow 30g cube... Word to the wise hang it up HIGH.
Mine is dimmable so it works, but i got some bleaching at first cuz it wasn't high enough, now its raised and everything fully acclimated and its great. Lights up the whole tank with no heat and the colors are great.
