I'm looking for tips on taking pictures under LEDs, with a somewhat crappy camera. I tried to take some pictures last night with my iPhone....and it was a completely blue wash out. I know I should be using a DSLR and a light meter, but that aint happening. I've got some little Canon 8mp camera. Just wondering if I'm pipe dreaming.

bro i use my girls cammera i bought her about 2 years ago. its a Sony cyber-shot the carl zeiss 4x zoom 12MP and HD video. its the best thing i use compaired to these DLSR witch i wanna get one soon. But make sure you dim your lights to the right color with whites and stuff.

You need to set the white balance. I too have a little point-n-shoot Canon camera and if I set the white balance the pictures are OK. On my Canon you need to push the "Func Set" button to get to the white balance settings.

Tried with the other camera last night, and the colors were better, but still all off. I'll keep working at it. The bright yellows weren't coming out at all. Got to put some time in to this photo forum for some tips.
