Hey Guys,

My tank will be ready in about 1 week (fingers crossed). It's gonna be 26.5 x 26.5 x 11.5 (approx. 38G) I've narrowed down my choices to either a kessil a360we or radion xr 30 pro gen 3. Not really sure what to go with. Any input?

Thanks,
Andy

Id go with the one with the best spread for the tank that does not lose intensity to achieve it.

Radion covers 30x30 and Kessil covers 24x24. I don't mind having less light on the sides. Can always put lower lighting corals there.

Except they don't. Those numbers are bogus.

I've got a third gen Radion XR30Pro over my Cadlights Shallow. I bought the wide angle lens, and it gives me plenty of spread to cover the 24x36" footprint, no problem.

I'm leaning towards a radion, hows the shimmering on them? I've seen it on a kessil and it looks amazing. :)

You don't get the same shimmer from the Radions that you do from Kessil. Kessil is pretty unique in that way. I'm guessing it's the focused pendant style that produces this effect. That being said, the Radion is a terrific piece of equipment, fully customizeable, and will give you the spread you're looking for with less shadows than you're likely to get with the Kessil.

I got great side to side coverage with a gen 3 with wide angle lens kit installed on my 30" x 20" lps/sps tank.

I'm gonna go with the kessil to start off. If i don't like it, I will switch to the radion. Thanks everyone!
