So I have a maxspect G2. It has actually been a decent unit...... until tonight. It has 3 channels, and tonight when i came home the blue channel barely has the LEDS lit at all. THis is not a dimmable unit so that isn't the issue. I was wondering if any of you led guys can tell me whats wrong. I suspect one of the drivers has gone bad.... if it has, can i just replace it with a same power driver? Thank you all very much! Moaspect customer service is no help so u guys are all i got!

I'm not too familiar with that specific unit but LEDs are simple.

Driver and LEDs. Like a MH Ballast and Bulb

All you have to do is match the VF or Voltage of the driver and its current.

Can you swap drivers if they are the same to confirm it is the driver. If it is the driver and we know the current and total LEDs in series a replacement is no problem

Also most respectable companies offer at least a two year warranty. I surprised they were little help.

Have you tried contacting Coralvue? I had a channel go dim on a different fixture and it was a burned out LED.

Yep. Coralvue has been the saving grace for maxspect. I actually solved this problem and the solution was interesting. The unit had 2 drivers so I switched them and sure enough the LEDs were still dim. At this point I knew it wasn't the driver. What it turned out to be was one of the LEDs had a little corrosion on one of the contacts. I swapped it and problem solved. I'm still a newb on LEDs but my next ones I want to build just so I get a better understanding.
