LED t5 combo?

love the combanation and found the reef brite 48 inch supra t5 led combo retrofit. its decently priced and is 48in long.

are there any other LED t5 combos i should look at as well?

An its the progress of the new tech. the t5 led is really new. most it seems are high dollar still(like led were) or DIY.

From recent use of the reef bright blue LED XHO strip, I can vouch for these LEDs and how well my corals have responded to the addition of the blue strip.

+1. ReefBrite is the only way to go. They have the best bulbs you can buy. A lot of the big retailers and the successful big name hobbyists use their lights.

It's easy to convert fluorescent T5 (HO) fixtures to LED with conversion units, such as the Arcadia brand T5 LED sold by Kordon. These are the current state of the art: no adapter needed, clear tube produce desirable "glimmer" effect, mix with fluorescent in same fixture, produce more light with less energy consumption. I saw in a previous post you were upgrading to a 120 gallon 48x24x24... One ReefBrite strip and a pair of T-5's isn't a whole lot of light for that kind of depth and footprint... sounds like a good combo for a FOWLER tank... not so much for photosynthetic corals.

I don't have a center brace and what not, but kind of similar dimensions on my 160... you can see my current LED/T5 combo in the build thread from my signature.
I started with LED only too, and just recently added a couple of T5 fixtures.
