So i have a Red Sea 130D tank (34 gallon) water is 16 inches deep and i have my lights almost 12 inches above the water line. Now i have found the SPS AB+ settings for my AI Hydra 26HD light. No problems copying that in. But the problem lies with the T5 lighting. How to i set mylights to incorporate the T5's as well. I have the 4 Bulb 24 inch AquaticLife T5 Fixture with 2 ATI Blue Plus Bulbs and 2 ATI Actinic bulbs.

Also i'm guessing the LEDs should be turned down a bit in intensity because of the T5 supplementation.

Anyone out there run LEDs/T5's that could shed some light on how to use the proper settings?

Are you adding the T5s now or have them running with your LEDs in the past?

When adding T5s I did this. Run LEDs at least 50%. Run T5's 3 hrs a day and raise 1 hr every 2 weeks till your at 6 hrs. Run your led peak for 6 hrs the other 6 hrs will be ramping up and down.

I have been running T5s and Hydras for 2 years. IMO , if you have been using the Hydra and are just now adding T 5s - I would probably leave your LEDs as is , and acclimate the T5s . Say 2 bulbs for an hour a day for a week , then 2 hours for a week and build on that. Slowly adding time with the T5s until you get the results you are looking for.

I had Hydra 26 HD and Aquaticlife T5 too. with T5 bulbs front to back: Coral Plus, Blue Plus, Blue Plus and Actinic. With the Hydra, I have Blue, Royal , UV and Violet set to 85% and I love the look. not to0 blue and not too white. all the other LEDS are set to 0% since I already have the Coral Plus to help with the growth. Also I didn't do any acclimation when I got my T5 and everything is doing and going great with Zoa, Softies, LPS dominated tank.

How high are your lights above the tank?

ok mine are 12 inches above. Need a par meter to see what the heck these lights are putting out.

I also have SPS so maybe my lights aren't as high as they should be. Yours are set higher then line and you have alot of LPS up high.
