So I’m tuning my Hydra 52 to this spectrum for SPS Corals what do you guys think?

How's it look to the eye. I think it's spot on.

And what analyzer is that?!?!

I need one !!

My tank looks almost exactly
Like this. No photoshop , just an iPhone.

Yep that’s how it looks I was able to add the individual cree leds on the analyzer and mess with them adding and removing to get the best score and that’s what it came out to for the Hydra 52, they also have preconfigured lights like ecotechs, ati bulbs etc..

Ah. Got it. Have you measured par?

@reeferfoxx have you seen this analyzer ?
Haven’t measured par yet just finished tweaking everything will measure tomorrow , I did notice though that the royal blue led when it’s at 100% it tends to shift the spectrum, becoming more narrow and thus scoring less... this being for the 52Hd

No I haven't! Not really sure how to work it but it looks to be based on presumed configuration? Meaning, you select the type of diode, the wavelength, lux or par, distance etc etc and it computes the spectrum for that config?

Yep you’re able to select different pre configured spectrums and or individual leds, t5 bulbs etc.

That is really cool!!! Well cool for us broke :oops::oops: people who can't afford a spectrometer. I'd like to hear @Dana Riddle 's input and comparison to this. Looks to be very helpful if it is indeed close to accurate. Really cool.

Sorry, was there a question? ;Hilarious;Hilarious kidding. Looks like you picked a nice blend of spectrum.

I was so excited to find this, thanks guys hopefully it turns out to be something useful for people trying to adjust their lights

Seemed like it would be up your alley.

Hey you could plug your specs in and compare the results yea?

I suppose my only gripe would be the lack of Bridgelux, epistar, and epiled. I think the Edison would be the closest comparison to those?

I think the shortcoming is it's a sim.
Not entirely. I mean all diodes have variances with distance and brightness but could the same be said for chip rated +/- 10nm per diode spectrum? (example: Green 520-530nm) It's that spec that seprates cree from bridglux or glass to polymer.

True , I suppose that's just the cynic in me. I'd rather not go on stated values. ;Bored...;Oldman

I know. I just let semantics get the best of me that moment. Not sure chlorophyll can tell 10nm apart either. But the programmer here took the time. I could give them that benefit? Lol
