I have 77 watts of led in an 8 gallon cube .is this sufficient to grow softies and or hard coral.also how will it effect my coralline growth.thankyou for reading

77 watts is plenty if you have the proper spectrum/PAR/spread. Watts per gallon is silly, and shouldn't be used to estimate if lighting is sufficient or not.

77 prolly will give anything a sun burn in that tank. If its the right kind of led you could grow Lps in a 20 with that light

I think it's going to bleach anything you have in the tank. How high over the tank is it? Measure from light to sand bed. Whats the PAR value?

Watts per gallon probably doesn't work with nano systems but distance does matter when dealing with a 8 gallon. You probably don't have to worry too much about spread but you will need to consider intensity.

good luck
