I'm looking to switch to LEDs from mhs. My tank is 120 g rimless 2 feet deep and 4 feet long. Any suggestions on any LEDs would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Looking for retail.. I know nothing about LEDs, what wattage would I need ? How many fixtures? Color?

Two Radion's with the TIR lenses. Expensive, but worth it in my opinion. I have a single on a 60. As for color, you can choose after the fact. If you want cool at the beginning of the day and warm in the middle, you just set it up that way. Controller is built in, and they can be connected wirelessly to behave as a single fixture.

There is a big difference in LEDs. Ignore watts on a fixture unless you are comparing fixtures with the same LEDs. A cheap 120 watt Chinese fixture using less efficient LEDs can be 1/2 to 1/3 dimmer than a 120 watt Cree Fixture.

Personally I'm a fan of DIY as its easy and you can choose the best parts and save a lot on the cost. If you go with a factory fixture avoid 1 and 2watt LEDs as they are not as efficient as the Cree XP or XT LEDs.

The Radions are nice but expensive...If your on a budget some of the 3 watt Bridgelux fixtures are very cost effective.

Kinda on a budget and I'm not s diy guy, foes anyone on the board do that for members?

Have you thought about joining a local reef club? I'm sure someone there would be able to help you build a fixture. This way if something goes wrong, you will know how to fix it.
