Ok I want to go from mh lights to LEDs I have Lps and sps coral in so im looking for recommendations on what types will work for my tank because I know nothing about the led light setups only had mh since I set it up over 5 years ago. Any help would be great or links to them on eBay so I can read up on them tank is 7 foot by 2 by 2 I think. If that matters.

rapid led has a 180 kit that would work on It. I know people who have radion love them also. They are little costly but the life of them pays off in the long run. There are many others at lower prices too. reef radiance

I went with reef radiance and my tank is doing great. Finding out what settings to run them at is kinda a pain but once you get there I think there all good lights. No matter what brand you choose. Budget was my biggest factor. I couldn't afford radion or maxspect.

Go with a Quality LED fixture or DIY using the latest Binned Cree 5 watt LEDs.

If you go DIY This combination works great as it replaces a 400 watt MH and only consumes 118 watts driven at 700mA! Coverage would be 2-3 Feet.

24 Cree XT-E Royal Blue
6 Cree XP-E2 Blue
15 Cree XT-E Cool White binned at 7.5K

Lights like the Maxspect and Radion are OK but they are only the rough equivalent to a 250 watt MH

I ordered these last night. Hope they will do the good. A guy that sets up and services thanks told me about these.
