Hi everyone,
I will try to make a long story short.
I am in the market for 3 led fixtureS to supplement my 240g tank.It has 2 cross braces,so essentially it is 3 boxes 24 x 32 x 24deep.currently have 4 t5 retros inside canopy.
I recently had 3 Kessil ap700 but 2 of them crapped out and no longer trust or will be using them.A whole other story....

So with that said,I was looking at Reefbreeders Aquasanrise plus r60.It looks to be well built and would fit my canopy with ideal coverage.

https://www.reefbreeders.com/shop/aquasanrise-plus-r60/

Looking for some current reviews, advise and/or suggestions.
Btw,I was originally looking at the Hydra52 and Radions, but the coverage is just not there.thats how I wound up with the Kessils.

Thanks in advance,
JIM

Aquasanrise is new.. They rebranded a chineese LED which is really well made.

I have one on my 120g and its great. The wifi app works pretty well. I just have no idea if I can controll it via the apex. I have had a reefbreeders photon on an older SPS tank and it grew everything fine.

Both reef breeders and aquasanrise are rebranded Chinese led. Did the ap700 crap out due to ventilation issues? If it was me I would go with radions or mitras and make sure to cut vent holes in the top of canopy.

My canopy is well vented with fans pulling air in then exits up and behind.
I don't want to spend another fortune on expensive lights that crapped out,big name or not.

What are you keeping? If it is not super-light-demanding, then start with the cheap Chinese stuff and work up until you find a price point where you like the features (ramping, channels, etc.). Some of them are so cheap, that you might be able to afford 6 panels for better coverage, but these ones typically do not have a lot of features.

While the RB stuff is rebranded Chinese Stuff, they do have more features than most... and a price tag in concert.

I'd like to say a mixed reef but, tank still needs to mature some.In Time...
Is tge sanrise cheap, poor quality, just in a nice frame?

If money is no option Orphek would be my choice. If you are on a budget, I would probably take a look at SB Reef Lights Ultra line.

That said if you lost two Kessils just outside of warranty, I would take a look at the canopy ventilation.

I have a orphek v4 install over one of my tanks. I like it.

For a mixed reef, the LEDs will be supplementing the T5s (4 on each side, or four total?), which are superior in coverage and spectrum. I would not go too crazy on supplemental lighting.

RB just are what they are... not a cheap build (but not like the German or US units (not EcoTech or AI, but like the stuff that is made in the USA like AcroOptics, etc.)), but with more features and actual customer support and usable warranty. A lot of people like them because they combine a good amount of features for a good price.

Thanks for all the responses.
the never ending search for knowledge continues.

For the price of each Hydra 52 , you could get 2 x hydra 26. That would make it easier to cover the area you have, verses one 52 or radion.
