LEDs from Ebay

Looks promising. Will you be running them along with the stock lights or as a replacement?
What are your plans for the tank? What do you plan to stock it with?

They are made to replace my stock lighting. I want to start keeping a more diverse assortment of corals. I would like a clam and some different sps. Also, I just want my current stock to be as happy as I can make them. What do you think these lights could support?

Doubt you could keep sps with those, but could have a nice tank of softie,zoa/paly, and a few specific lps corals - a NPS tank
Just my personal opinion based on research and observation

IDK, you might be able to keep SPS in there, those are 3w LEDs they have mounted, and 60w of LED is roughly a 250w halide., so your close.

My tank is the jbj 28g nano so it's only 18" deep if that makes a difference? I have a small cactus coral in there now with just the stock PCs and he seems really happy at the top of the tank.

18" will be ok with thowe LEDs. Did you put those up without acclimating the coral to the light? Thats a nice piece to start out with.

I thought they were only 36 watts not 60. If it's 60 watts, than yeah you should be able to keep some types of sps

I haven't gotten the new lights just yet. They are on there way. They are dimmable so I plan on acclimating them if I can figure out how ha ha!

No,no, my bad. Its not 60, his would be more around the lines of 175w. Was just referencing the 60w led to 250w halide. He's at 36w in a 28, with them being 3w LEDs. Thats not to shabby.

Ha ha I didn't even notice that post said 60 Watts! Yeah, there are only 12 3 watt LEDs... I'm thinking maybe I can add a few more led strips to it?

Let's see, six 'white' LEDs and six 'blue' LEDs, no data on what kelvin temperature the LEDs are rated for and none on the output of the royal blue.

I normally recommend 5-6x NW, 10-12x RB, and 2-3x CB for one of the nano AIO tanks around 28/29g. That will keep any photosynthetic animal out there growing like no tomorrow. That amounts to around 1500lm of white light and around 17,600mW of royal blue light. The knockoff LEDs in the auction (they are not Bridgelux) will emit around 120lm each for the whites and maybe 600mW for the royal blues, which is doesn't say how many it has in comparison to the cool blue. That amounts to 720lm of white light and up to 3,600mW of royal blue light, and that is calculating with all the 'blue' LEDs being royal blue. Looks dismal in comparison, don't it? I see that being a light for softies.

Also, it is not 36w of lighting. It's around 24-30w, the chinese knockoff LEDs cannot handle higher currents, so they are limited in their power even more.

Just re-read that and see what you're saying now. That was a hard one! ;)

Wow! I wish I could speak that language! I'm new to the different lighting scene so unfortunately I'm not really sure what that means...

Do you think my stock PCs are better than these LEDs?

I would say that these about the same amount of light as the stock lights, just using less power. I would very highly suggest looking into other options. You get very little for your money on cheap fixtures like that which use knockoff LEDs.

Kinda tough to say being that your using the existing hood, makes it tough for you to DIY under there. for sure you could get a better unit, optics are always a bonus as they will focus the light down, and not all over the place, but I still say its not all that bad.

OP, I would look into the 95% complete kits from Steve's LEDs. You'll have less power consumption than if you use knockoff LEDs and will have better color rendition.
