So one of the most dominate LEDs in the arsenal of Aqua Illumination is the Cree XP-G2 Cool White

The Hydra 26 HD has 6-Cool White Full Spectrum LEDs. This makes up 25% of a Hydra 26. They fall into 5000-8300k spectrum. Only intensity is adjustable for this LED. The spectrum is set. I was able to break down the spectrum using Cree white paper detail online.

UV-0
Violet-15% 415NM
Royal Blue-40% 450-465NM
Blue-15% 465-485NM
Green-45% 529-536NM
Red- 15% 645NM

Lighting Spectrum is based on a color group referred to as RGB. Red, green, blue and a mixture of these colors all make up the lighting spectrum. In this group is chlorophyl A and B. These are the building blocks for photosynthesis.

White LEDs have the highest par value, but they are not the best at looks or overall growth. This is where the other LEDs come in to enhance the RGB to accomplish better growth, health, and colorization.

When determining a spectrum your goals need to be outlined. It is a fine line between growth and looks. Sometimes it is best to run separate programs. It breaks down into a few categories.

Growth
Coloration
Ascetics
Health/Repair

Using different spectrums allows the convenience of set it and forget it. Dinner party gets Ascetics. Newly introduced corals get Health/Repair. Corals look a little blue run the coloration program. At all other times when your not home you can switch on Growth and let you corals take off. It takes time and effort but you can breakdown spectrums tailored to your goals.
