Hey guys i'm definitely going to go with the aqua illumination lights. I have a 75 gallon tank which is 48 x18x21 and I was wondering which of the three lights I need and how many. Either the vega hydra 52 or hydra 26. There very expensive so i was looking at the hydra 26s because they r the cheapest. Will I be able to get away with 2 hydra 26s for my tank? Will that be enough? Thanks for your replys!

It depends on what you want to grow, but generally I would say two would be enough for most coral. Might have to run them at near 100%, instead of the 40-60% that many lights are run at.

I have 3x 26's /w contoller I am going to be putting up for sale in the sell forums if you are interested. Shoot me a PM if you are, you dont need to buy all 3.

They will work just fine in a 75g unless you want to go full blown SPS. and if that is the case you are better off with MH or t5ho or both =/

Go with the 26's. More than enough for SPS or anything else you could ever want. IMO I would go with 3 for SPS, 2 for mixed tank. FWIW I am running 4 of the 26's over my 120, 48x24x24 and am very happy with them. Don't get the 52's, you are better getting 2 units of 26 rather than 1 52 unless the tank is really deep. I would take the 26's over any MH or t5ho for SPS and clams.

Well that's good news cuz the 26s are cheaper lol so even tho the 26s only have two lights in them it should cover my whole tank with just two of them ?
