Left my oyster feast on the counter

for about 12 hours, should be refrigerated. Smell is not a test because the stuff smells awful on the worst of days. I hate to toss it, it costs a fortune. My house is set at 70F. Anyone have any experience?

I’ve done so in the past being forgetful and haven’t had any ill effects using it after but I’m not a pro so don’t listen to me. Bottle is gone now and my Tank is still fine.

Probably not, but I have no idea what sort of processing oyster feast undergoes.

It's fresh seafood "preserved" in saltwater so far as I know.

Here's the thing...

If it smells OK (no worse) then it's probably OK....as in it probably won't kill anything.

But it has no shelf life left.

If you can't bring yourself to toss it....

Then use it up QUICK. Stop feeding all other foods and substitute feeding this 100% of the time until it's gone. If "gone" could happen in a day or two, that would be ideal.

I'll recant and defer to anything reef nutrition posts.

Oysterfeast should normally have a briny sweet smell, not great smelling, but not terrible. If it smells rancid, it's got to go.

UGH.....it has never smelled like that to me. It has more of a sick sweet smell like eatbreakfast described. Makes me want to

It's so strong I can't NOT smell it the second I open it. Any strong odors bother me though. Idk how I have 3 dogs lol. Not to mention 8+ years of ICU nursing....

Hmmm. At the palooza this weekend , Chad an I were doing Phyto Meister shots and Tisbee Bulls. I don't think we had the Sake Oysters. Hard to remember. My head still hurts

I wouldn't risk it. Been using oyster feast regularly, never noticed too strong of a smell.

I agree. I wouldn't risk it. Who knows what kind of bacteria is in there after sitting out. Not worth it.
