Like the title says, I left my brand new bottle of oyster feast out on my desk over the weekend (it says keep refrigerated)

Do you think it is spoiled? Should I throw it out? Or will it be fine to use?

thx!

I would toss it regardless. Even if it hasn't spoiled the proteins probably still broke down more than you'd like.

Bummer, sucks but I would toss. Like mentioned already the major proteins have most likely broken down and it's turned to mush.

yeah, guess I'll toss it. Its just $ right. lol. Teach me to put it back in the fridge.

expensive lesson

I would recommend you discard the product. We pack so much biomass in Oyster-Feast that degradation of the lipids and other compounds is substantial when it's not kept at refrigerator temperatures. We don't use preservatives so the product is less stable at room temperature. Bummer this happened. Thanks for tagging me @saltyfilmfolks.

I have a follow up question. What is the useful life when kept in a refrigerator?

Each bottle has an expiration date on it. Oyster-Feast has a refrigerator life of 6 months. As @FirstContact stated; the smell test is always a good way to detect fouling. Just like with milk!
