Last night I turned everything off to kill an aptasia I found, I must of forgot to turn the power back on and came home tonight to find everything off still. I am afraid off a crash happening I have a 20g setup already should I transfer everything to it ? Or what else should I do ? Please helps

I am by far no expert ... but if it were me I would get out the test kits and a) test temp b) test chemicals c) examine the coral/fish for health and I would do a small water change perhaps too (to get out any toxins/amon/nitrate that may have built up with out the flow). I would think the 'gas exchage' or lack of would have been the worse thing.

How does every thing LOOK?

Just do some water tests. If you have enough natural filtration, I'd think it would be ok.

Live rock and live sand and lots of beneficial bacteria.

Ok thought so. I heard that the bacteria can start to die off quickly that is what I was most worried about. It's been up and running for 3 yrs at least and its heavily stocked

The bacteria in the tank should be ok. If the filter stayed wet I think you should be ok.

Absolutely. I've used biospira to help cycle a tank, but not my reef tank, so I don't know about that. Seachem Prime also neutralizes ammonia, nitrites and nitrates. You could use some as an added layer of protection.

When you think your tank is crashin there's a trick that I've found:
Turn on your skimmer and swish the water all around.
Point your powerheads Down but don't stir up the substrate.
Give it about an hour and your water will be great.

This is what I do in situations of accidental stagnancy or after power outs. Basically stir the crud up and let it clear. Rinse and repeat until the crud count is minimal. This helps the live rock filter the water more efficiently than if it had the normal detritus build up.
