LEGO Themed 125 Gallon Aquarium Build

Hello fellow hobbyists!

I am planning on creating a 125 gallon LEGO themed reef tank. I currently have a 72 gallon bowfront tank with some equipment and a number of LEGO figurines, LEGO sharks, and a LEGO submarine which I plan on transferring to the new tank I bought. I will transfer over the live sand and most of the liverock structures (this also includes corals/anemones so going for a reef safe tank). I have attached a diagram of the tank to this post. I am looking for any opinions, suggestions, or idea on my design so feel free to respond and let me know what you think! The fish, corals, and cleanup crew will be transferred into the new tank as well. In short the tank will consist of:

A 125 gallon reef ready display tank containing the following fish:
Transferred from the current 72 g tank
Foxface Rabbitfish
Lawnmower Blenny
Exquisite Fairy Wrasse
Striped Sleeper Goby
Neon Striped Goby
Yellow Clown Goby
Midnight Clownfish
Royal Gramma
2 x Zebra Barred Goby
Possible fish to add (looking for opinions!)
2 x additional Zebra Barred Boby
1 x Tang (Lieutenant, Orange Shoulder, Sailfin, Blue Hippo)
1 x Squareback Anthias or similar
1 x additional Midnight Clownfish (make a pair with current clown)
5 x Green Chromis
1 x Green War Paint Clown Goby
1 x Goby/Pistol Shrimp Pair
1 x Pygmy Ring Eye Goby
1 x or 3 x Clearfin Squirrels
2 x Lamark Angels (pair)
Various Corals and Annenome
Serpent star (transferred)
Hermit crabs (transferred)
2 x Skunk Cleaner Shrimp (transferred)
1 x Fire Shrimp (transferred)
1 x Emerald Crab (transferred)
2 x pom pom crab (transferred)
Various snails

A 20 gallon acrylic sump with filter socks, 3 gallon hang on refugium, protein skimmer, manifold intake)

A 20 gallon high display refugium with planted mangroves and a frogfish (connected via a pump and drilled on overflow)

A 20 to 30 gallon hexagon tank with a mantis shrimp (connected via pump manifold and drilled on overflow)

One area I do possibly need help is connecting the 0 - 10 volt dimmable t5 lights to the hydros controller. I plan on using the quad 0 - 10 volt cable to connect to the attached set of lights (x4 36 in long package) (https://www.bulkreefsupply.com/dimmable-t5-ho-miro-4-retrofit-kit-let-lighting.html)

Thanks! It's going to be quite a process lol. Admittedly will take a few months to complete. And hopefully I can figure out the wiring to the dimmable t5s. I really want to try my hand at the led t5 hybrid combo. I'll make sure to post pictures of the progress!

Dang how I miss the Lego star wars walker I used to have lol! I'll take some pictures for sure when I get home tomorrow. I have a collection of lego scuba divers and sharks connected to the live rock using glue and another lego piece to keep it in place. Also have a sunken pirate ship on the tanks sand. I too had the idea to float around the lego figure in a boat as well

My coworker called me into his office just to show me his Lego fish tank once. The company said no fish tank in the office so he had to compromise!

That's awesome. Do you coat the legos with anything or put them straight in the tank?

For this set, I simply soaked them in vinegar overnight to sanitize them and then glued them together with gorilla glue gel. Then I attached them to the rockscape using another lego place so they stay in place but are removable. This time around I may dip each piece into epoxy as I had a few metallic coated lego pieces in the tank that slowly flaked off over time.

Haha I love it! I did see that set and am tempted to use some of the fish from that set in my new tank. Lego fish swimming with real fish. The tang wouldn't be pleased with it I bet lol
