Leishman's 135g AGE Build

Whats up bro! Welcome to R2R!!!

Just so everyone knows Jeff (NAGA) made Rik's sump and has made a ton of sumps, tanks, and frag tanks for me. He is an AMAZING acrylic builder.

Hey gadgets!! Heard about this place from Leishman. Like what I see so far. Thanks for the props!

One step closer........... The tank is finished and sitting in a crate in TX. Now I just need it shipped.

You know where I live..... plus I will need you to do the aquascape of this thing as soon as I'm ready.

Robbie's tank is SICK, better than the old 90g that was RC TOTM a few years back.

I never did update.... these are old posts from my local reef board:

I have to say that dealing with AGE was less fun than having a tooth pulled. I was told by many people on RC that the final product would make all the frustrations disappear. With my tank, that is not the case.
The crate it came in was outstanding. Nothing was going to damage the tank inside.
The tank is nice, but nothing like what I expected. The silicone is 1st class for the most part, the rest of it is average glasscages quality.

Now the good silicone:

You see pics of ~3" of the tank. 3 crappy inches, the rest is fine. I spoke with Tom @ AGE and he is fabricating me a stainless steel trim to cover the bottom edge of the tank and the silicone. He is bending it (this will be 36x36) and shipping it to me all @ his cost. He is also sending me, again @ no cost to me, the black backing to add to the other side of the tank (against the wall) along with a custom cut piece of material to insert in the overflow box so you wont see my plumbing.

I can fix some of the sloppy part with a razor. I shouldnt have to, but I can.

Over all I'm 'satisfied' with the tank. That being said, for the price paid for a custom tank, there should be no flaws to be found anywhere.

Yesterday we cut the hole and started the plumbing process. The tank is 1/4 full of RO and still filling as I type. I should have good progress this week, especially on nights between Stanley Cup Finals games. Go Wings.

Looking forward to more updates! Once you get it all done, I doubt those few areas will be of any concern.

Great to hear that AGE is going to try and make it right as well.

Sorry to hear about your troubles with AGE Rik... I hope they come through for ya!

... from what I can see everything looks great (less that seam :ooh: - that surprises me!)
PS That is NOT me in the little black socks and shorts.
:hammer:
