lemon damsel

here are some ideas of what you'll need:

could skim down to their care guide.

IMO every tank needs a spot of yellow and these guys are great if you don't have room for a tang or a canary wrasse.

They need - water! They are damselfish, they don't need much, just don't get other damsels and make sure they have somewhere to hide. Consider also feeding them occasionally.

and why is he pale
It could be lighting. That would be my first guess. 6 months down the road you should be cycled and as long as you're keeping an eye on Chemistry, you're golden. If he gets worse, let us know ow your parameters and any other symptoms the damsel is exhibiting.
what should I feed them
I used to feed mine some brine shrimp. They don't eat a lot so you don't have to feed 'em a full cube. Just a little. When theyre done eating. You're good.

You used to be able to get them way back in the day when tanks with schools of damsels were in style. I think they got lost when people started captive breeding the other kinds.

Yeah, damselfish are outdated and no longer loved and not put in tanks with lots of other fish because of their temper. But I still love them.
