Lemonpeel angelfish experiences?

anyone have experience with lemonpeels? Are they coral nippers?
Coral nippers yes. Can at times be finicky with feeding and rarely get along with yellow and purple tangs
May squabble with other dwarf angels

bummer. I'm starting to try and get a stock idea for the 80 gallon I'm setting up here....which has been a painfully long process, but hoping a build thread by the weekend (?)...and my plan is to keep smaller fish in it, instead of just buying fish that'll surely outgrow it. I saw one out and about and the lemonpeel was striking.

They're gorgeous fish, but from my experience, lemonpeels, bicolors, and nox angels are the worst of all the Dwarf angels with corals.

Consider flame angel also

Yeah, I will....I just like to have things that aren't "common", that's not a knock on the flame angels and the lemonpeel really caught my eye and can't say I've seen a ton of them out there. PLUS - it's smallish.

Yeah, my LFS suggested one for me last week, I completely didn't ask if it was reef safe as my goal is to move to a larger tank and have corals... now I have a beautiful fish but am struggling with the future build now.

Everything I am finding says that 99% of them are not coral safe.

I've had mine for three years now, model citizen.

With that said, I have had many flame angels, that are supposed to be more "reef safe" then any other dwarf angel, be complete coral munchers.

It's really a poop shoot on whether a dwarf angel will nip or not, doesn't matter species.

I got a very small one and tried it for a while several years ago. Fine with SPS, but loved my Acans. The final straw was when it started nipping at my clam. Back to the LFS it went. My buddy has a coral beauty in an 88 mixed reef with zero aggression to other fish and no coral nipping either. I'd recommend one of those if you are looking for a dwarf angel.

If you just want yellow - Yellow Coris wrasse (halichoeres chrysus or halichoeres leucoxanthus) are amazing. Beautiful and utilitarian. Yellow watchman goby - good bottom dweller. Or of course... yellow tangs if you have the space!

Just to update, I picked up a kenya tree frag and the lemonpeel nips it so much it stays retracted 99% of the time. Thats even with me feeding her well, and putting in a piece of nori for her to focus on.
