i have a couple of fish in a hang on isolation cube. the cube has a bunch of holes in it for circulation and you hang it on the side of the tank so that the fish can get used to the other fish without bullying . anyway, how long do you guys usually leave them in there? a day? a few days? a week? I can feed them while they are in there and have put some pic fittings in there so that they can hide if they want to. anyway, just want to see what everybody else is doing and not wanting to over stress the fish by leaving them in there too long or not long enough...

It depends on the fish in the tank and the fish being introduced. In most cases a day or two is all that is needed. In cases with particularly aggressive fish sometimes 5 days is necessary.

If no fish are going up to the box and trying to display to or intimidate the fish inside it should be fine to release the fish.

I agree with the above post. I think it depends on the type of fish and the level of aggression. A few days or a week should be okay, followed by close monitoring of cause.

Agree on every point, again
