Leon High School 40 Breeder Intro

I will gladly donate frags if you will pay shipping. I have many zoa/paly frags along with an accidental "crown of frags" (birdsnest) that would surely excite the students with sps. Let me know if you're interested... Shipping would more than likely run around $40.

I didn't realize you were that close! I'm at FSU and still here for the summer, I have some "Sub par" Protopalys and lots of them if you want! Let me know!

I'm not close... probably close to 1,000 miles away. I can ship you some zoantnid and palythoa with no problems pretty cheap (2 day delivery) the birdsnest could possibly survive 2 day shipping as well.

Looking forward to this!

Wow, was not expecting the quick responses, I better get some links and pictures up today :)

Paul, your tank looks beautiful. If your here over the summer that would be great! I am currently and unfortunately dealing with some issues at work. When I know for sure im coming back, you will all know the tanks going with me.

Thank you for the offers so far and I will be messaging you, the tanks looking good we have a small clownfish a local store has donated, he now has 15 different names. These children just cant let the nemo thing go.....

Here are the updates, Paul anytime you would like to come visit the tank and bring some or any frags with you the kids would greatly appreciate it. Just check in at the front office or PM me with your phone number and we can set something up. Thanks again. Pete, I will PM you when I can afford 40$ worth of shipping, I am currently broke as can be. The life of a public school teacher.

Some photos of set-up, corals and rock work. The second set of photos are a small introductory lab we did involving a birds nest colony I had at home. The students Were given a chunk of the mini colony to frag and glue to some rock, during the lab a student asked why couldn't they glue it to some Pyrex glassware. I figured why not for now. We have now about 30 frags of birds-nest haha. I don't like the coral personally but the kids LOVED the activity. I think they are getting very excited about this. If I return next year, I will be starting a Reef Club here at Leon and im going to install and apply for a grant to start a bigger more elaborate coral system and possibly an anemone clown fish tank. With the correct financing I can really turn some heads here in town to this hobby and reef conservation and preservation. Trying to do some good. Hope you like them...

More Photos of the class activity when the student e-mail me the pictures...its the end of the year so I cut them some slack :)

Took me forever but new photos are shared on the link, just the corals that Pete sent, No FTS yet, its cloudy and the sand caused a mini- cycle. We almost lost the clown overnight, they named him herman I think. I saved him, because i'm a clown whisperer. He is residing in my sump until the cycle is stable. Working on rocks anyway making it look purty for everyone...
