so got this lil girl yesterday in the mail. Today is first time seeing her and the top fin looks to be split? Just wondering if anyone sees anything different or if it will heal up? Or any advice. I have a ornate and she seems to be a little aggressive with her. They should be ok right both are female?

I am sorry that your wrasse did not make it. Leopards are difficult fish to get establish. Certainly more so than most other wrasses. They are beautiful fish. Good luck in the future.

Sorry for the loss. The fin by itself would have been likely to heal but the cause of it (aggression for example) can be deadly.

It looked “blotchy” in color, color loss like that can often indicate parasites. Internal parasites or velvet/flukes can cause that, primarily in the gills.

Flukes and internal parasites are very frequently found in leopard wrasses.

Yea it was blotchy in color. I know they are very difficult to keep. But I picked up a ornate leopard. And she took very well to the tank. So I was like man idk why everyone saying these are hard fish to keep. Well now I know I am 0 -4 on the regular leopards . Must just got lucky. But I know I keeps very good care my tank. And should be able to keep one. So I will find one that will live. If any u guys want to sell URS let me know lol. Thanks for the reply and info!
