I have an ornate leopard. Had her for probably 6 months. Has been doing great and eating and still doing great.

Lately she is going to bed earlier and earlier. Her current schedule is about 930am wake up to 430-5pm going to bed.

There’s very minor aggression from some others but nothing really bad. A flame hawk that gets in everyone’s face, a clown that is a big bully near her nem, tangs (wrasse loves the nori)

Overall she is fat, eating and happy. I’m just trying to make sure this schedule sounds right, awake barely 1/3 and sleeping 2/3

Our day cycle has changed and it have adjusted. Try putting the light schedule to one hour later for about 3 days and see if it changes her bed time

Oh sorry I didn’t see a notification that you replied. Overall she’s healthy and fat, I was just kinda curious. My Lights are on at 830a, blues 7p, then lights off 930p. For a while now she’s gone between 5-530p lol.

She may still need to adjust her body clock. Remember, these come from the southern hemisphere countries. Their body clocks will be different to ours. Give her time to adjust - Don’t change anything (even the lighting).

Thanks, I should have mentioned I’ve had her for maybe 6 months now. Also after thinking more about it, she’s probably just getting away from other fish. Dory and my flame hawk are always in her business. That could be it. Still, this is pretty recent change of about the last month or so.

Sounds to me like she’s been under stress from the tang and hawk. Stress and Leopards is bad, keep an eye on it and make sure she does emerge Atleast for enough time to feed her. If this time period of her being under the sand gets longer then I would start to take action.

I’ll keep an eye on her. She’s up every day at 9a and in bed at about 5-530p. She is very active and happy and eats like a pig..frozen, nori, pellets, and pod hunting. I’m just surprised that she really is only awake 8 hours a day and sleeps for 16

My leopards go in the sand early too. Often before evening feeding. I wouldn’t worry about it.
