Ive had them hide for 2 weeks, thinking they had died, to only reappear super hungry.

Quite a few sand sleeping wrasses will hide for days to weeks when transitioning also.

I knew that before getting one. I’m just happy to see it eat flake food.i know they can be tepremental fish

Well where are the pictures?

Hard to photo the little one

They have a strong biological clock and will hide a long time to adjust. There sleep cycle is off once they get here. Once established they are a hardy addition. Mine eats like a big. Seach and eat all day. At feeding time gets right in the mix with all the other fish.

that’s what I was thinking. This ones still a little timid of the other fish, it’s a little smaller. The other don’t pay attention to it though

It will settle in mine took some time. If its eating prepared food that's a huge win

Funny you mention being timid.....

My tiny little blue star was the last fish I added to my tank. There are 2 clowns, a melagris leopard, a flasher wrasse, a melanarus, flame back angel, yellow corris, and candy cane goby in my tank, all are pretty aggressive when it comes to feeding time. My tiny little blue star(easily 1/4 of the size of all the other fish), stands his/her ground and actually chases other fish away from the food.

I've had many leopards over the years, but this is my first blue star, and he/she is the only one that has ever been a "bully".

If it's eating, it will adjust and be a fine addition. They are some coolest wrasses in my book and I love wrasses.

I have 3 wrasses (Silver Belly, Checkerboard and female Leopard) and all 3 disappeared for over a week when I first introduced them. Oddly enough, they all reappeared twice as big when I saw them again, so apparently they were eating. Now, they all 3 swim with all the other fishes and would probably eat a shoe if I threw it in there.
