Leptastrea VS featherduster?

Sooooo I have a leptastrea that's on track to grow right into one of those bright red micro/hitchiker dusters.... what's the outcome of this? Is the coral going to smother the duster or will it grow around it? Post your ideas and we'll see who's right!

I’d expect it to grow around as if you think about porites, they’re constantly growing so how do Christmas works not get smothered?
