I was looking at some recent literature and these two substances have published results on killing and managing ich. I think they're more reef safe than the traditional copper etc. Any of you experts tried either of these methods or have opinions on the research?

Yin, F., Sun, P., Tang, B., Gong, H., Ke, Q., & Li, A. (2016). Anti-parasitic effects of Leptomycin B isolated from Streptomyces sp. CJK17 on marine fish ciliate Cryptocaryon irritans. Veterinary parasitology, 217, 89-94.

T. Goto, N. Hirazawa, Y. Takaishi, Y. Kashiwada (2015). Antiparasitic effects of Sophora flavescens root extracts on the ciliate, Cryptocaryon irritans. Aquaculture, 435 (2015), pp. 173–177

I believe both of these ingredients are found in some "natural remedies" for treating ich.
