Hi everyone,

I've had my tank for about six and a half months now. I brought the tank in with live sand and live rocks so it cycled quite fast. Over the course of this time after cycling with about two weeks apart I brought in the following.

Pair of mated OC Clownfish who are super chills and doesn't like to bother nobody, but will sort of nibble if something sticks around a bit too long or close to their home which is a medium sized green bubble tip anemone that settled in a large shell where it's feet fit perfectly.

Two weeks after that I introduced 5 hermit crabs and a spotted sand sifting goby. I have 1.5-2 inch of sandbed.

Two weeks after that I brought in a cleaner shrimp 3 astrea snails and a coral beauty.

Two weeks after that I brought in a medium sized pj cardinal.

My tank has roughly 25-28lbs of Indo Based Live Rocks. It's 30G measuring 29/16/14.

I have a single wave maker, a canister filter for my carbon media and a bag of porous rocks for bacteria growth. Also have a Prizm Skimmer that's for 40G (my tank is 30). The skimmer also has a pouch of porous rocks for bacteria growth.

I have not experienced any spike in any of my water tests so far perhaps a slight drop in Ph but it's at 8.3 ish now.

I think I can handle more bioload. I wanted to get some suggestions on a non violent fish that swims around a bit actively. My clown fish are always at their anemone, the goby is usually on the ground and graze the rocks very short times. The coral beauty is a but active going around picking up algae. And the pj cardinal is just kind of stationary.

Wanted to get some suggestions because I want to get the fish in about a week.

Thank you all in advance!

This is what the tank looks like at the moment, bad lighting but you get the jist.

I saltwater this niche is a tough one – especially in a tank your size. Finding a group of the smallest species of cardinalfish your can would be your best bet, off the top of my head. Not very ideal though unless you can find a variety that's particularly small.

I would say you are pretty maxed out for fish....don't forget they grow....you could add something small like a cleaner goby captive bred type....other than that you sand sifter and clowns will be too territorial as they age IME. I would say to start adding corals now, but the tank is young and your not really set up for them at this point.

If you go by the old saying 1" of fish per 5 gallons (or 1 fish per 10 gallons) you are at the max or over it...not sure anyone follows that anymore though.

Flame hawk and orchid dottyback are among my favorites

That's a shame I was hoping for some thing a bit more active. As goby and clowns are usually chilling down below all day.

Yeah I was searching on the Web for some recommended Nano fish

I'll do some research on dotty backs!
Stay away from most as they're quite aggressive. Orchid are the exception.
