Let's just say it took me too long to learn this lesson. NEVER, trust a swing arm hydrometer. Mine was reading 35ppt when it was actually 41ppt.

I just ordered a refractometer. There is absolutely no reason to use anything else at the price they sell for now.

Make sure you calibrate refractometer occasionally also
