I too originally had everything tightly bundled - nicely organized. Then i changed lights, ties came off. Changed heaters, ties came off. Added a wavemaker, ties came off. Changed pump and ties holding cords all nicely stayed off. Now its a mess (about 4 months post pump) and probably will remain until next tank lol
Hahaha same here. I took the time to make it nice and neat until I start adding things and cutting wire ties.

The only tank I currently have is on my kitchen island and isn’t very automated, so I have a couple of cord boxes that each have a power strip and hold all the controllers for the wavemakers, heater, etc). They are very organized on the inside, but everything is contained and looks decent on the outside. Camera really picks up the water stains on the bamboo top, though. Lol.

1 million % the same. started with a new build. cabinet and tank, months fast forward. heater swap, skimmer clean, 2 new return pumps. added a second tank sumped to main.. lol its a mess. if i didnt have apex i wouldn't know what is on or off... :P

It’s true the apex just adds a centralized area for the cables to be tangled…have been rearranging gear on my 150 for 8 months without management….spent 6 hours last weekend undoing that mess lol

I converted everything to wireless, no wires to deal with going forward.

I really like how you labeled each of your switches, I’m going to use this in my cabinet. Thanks for the inspiration!

Do you mind sharing what this component does? (Circled in red.)

That is the aqua ultraviolet 15 uv sterilizer. I added some eye bolts to the slot on the bottom of the cade cable organizer and it’s hanging from them via some zip ties. The part you have circled is the tubing coming off of one of the barbs. I had a heck of a time figuring out both how to get the plumbing adapted to my Sicce 1.5 pump and mounting it. But it works.
