Hi everybody,

New to the forum (and the hobby). My name is Robert. Professionally, I am an emergency RN. I have been wanting to start my marine aquarium for a while now. After visiting the Galapagos this past January it really spiked my interest.

I've been reading and reading and trying to educate myself as much as possible before taking the plunge. A few months ago, we purchased a 65 Gallon tank. We have Eheim Cannister filter. Fluval Marine LED lights, and used dry rock. After about 6 weeks of letting everything sit we added some snails and hermit crabs. Everything was great! Parameters perfect ( Ph 8.2, 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrites, 0 Nitrate) Salinity 1.026.

We bought our first clown fishes (2 babies), a few weeks later a Yellow Watchman Goby, and another few weeks later a Royal Gamma. Just recently we purchased a small Zoa frag. I think I am gonna slow it down on adding anything else at this point...all of my parameters have been stable. I recently purchased a dKH testing kit, my level was 8.2.

Excited and nervous about this hobby. Excited because I love caring and maintaining everything, the tank is beautiful and very therapeutic for me -- gives me something to do and a nice method to relieve stress. Nervous because IT NEW.

All the best,

Robert
