Hi everyone I am in Jasper. I have kept fish 30 years but I am a complete newbie to salt. I started six months ago and started with dwarf seahorses that was enough to give me the bug lol. I have a few tanks holding fish until the big tank is ready. The tank it's a 150 gallon tall that was holding my show goldfish whom i have now moved outside. I have two hob filters I'm running on it until I figure how to build the sump. The tank has two overflow boxes one on each side. I had two gallons of sand from an established aquarium and bought the rest as quote unquote live sand. Half of the live rock used was live the rest was dry. Tank has been fully running since the weekend still working on getting the salinity high enough. The two pictures are me trying to figure rock placement. I have also added reef accelerator to the aquarium. Test today showed ammonia between .25 and .50 , 0 nitrite and nitrate between 5.0 and 10.My ph is reading at 8.3
