Took this pic while giving a FW dip to a lethargic lyre tail anthias. Had a couple that were lethargic but the other has perked up since adding an air pump to complement the power head and HOB. She’s been lethargic for 2-3 days.

It appears to me that there is some discoloration on her side. Does anyone concur? If so, treatment options?

I have General Cure, dosed in water column yesterday and more in hand, Ruby Reef Rally, Formalin, straight Prazi, metro, Furan-2, Kanaplex, and focus for the binder.

Thanks for any assistance!

I see some missing scales, but nothing too alarming.

Thanks for the reply. Perhaps it's just being picked on. The two smaller ones were chased around a bit, but nowhere near continuously. This is one of the smaller ones. It will swim about occasionally but it's getting less and less often. The other 4 females and the male are all acting pretty normal. Before I added the air stone another had started acting lethargic as well, but all have picked up a bit since then.

Sadly the fish did not make it. Attaching photos in the hopes we can point the finger at something. If we can’t, I may start ramping up the copper power immediately in case it is velvet.

Sorry about your loss. Such beautiful fish and so delicate.
I recently got in a group of Bimac's and I had something similar. Blackish discoloration through the skin along with sluggish behavior. I added GC, Furan-2 and Kanaplex to the water. 2 of them passed in the next 24 to 36 hours but the rest were doing much better after 3 or 4 days.

The only thing I added was the GC, and all 5 of the remaining fish have been very active since. In fact, as I look down they're all staring up at me lol! It was just the one, maybe another but it's been fine since, leaving me to wonder if it was just a sick/stressed fish to begin with or if there was something else at play that I have to worry about. For now, I'll plan on running GC again on Monday and move into Copper Power after the post GC water change.

May have been flukes. I didn't do a FW dip until a day after I dosed GC. If anything came off during the FW dip it was very small. In any case, just hard to say.

Just as an FYI for anyone who was or might read this thread it was most likely urenoma. I have another thread opened to deal with that. 3 females died so far but metro, water column and in food, seems to be holding it at bay for the 2 remaining females and the male. This is very similar to what 6 disparate anthias looked like that I lost last year, making me suspect urenoma in those cases as well. Discoloration, followed by red slashes, maybe a sore, and death. So, in my min anyway, if I see discoloration on an anthias I'm treating with metro ASAP in the future.
