For me ,, its more of a coral thing than it is a fish thing ,, but in this hobby jmo ,, you just can't leave it at that and be done with it ,, these are mini eco systems ,, I have always read ,, the more fish you have in a system ,, up to a point ,, the healthier your corals are ,, I have always said ,, it doesn't take anymore space in a tank to raise a pretty coral as it does to raise a ,, not as pretty of a coral ,, this also applies to fish ,,
I have a good population of fish in my system , mainly Wrasses ,, the main reason they are there is for the health of my corals ,, that being said ,, it doesn't take anymore space to raise a pretty fish as opposed to a not so pretty, bland colored fish ,, the prettiest Wrasse in my tank is a Hawaiian Flame Wrasse ,, even though the corals are my main thing ,, I love watching this beautiful fish swimming around my tank ,, I gain as much enjoyment watching him as looking at my corals ,,
That being said ,, I am not going to spend $200 plus on a fish and not get him as healthy as I can before I put him into my system ,, who would spend ,, whatever the cost of a Homewrecker frag is ,, and not make sure is not treated for ,, whatever pest maybe on it before they put the frag into their system ,, so as not to infect the rest of their corals ,,
I can't paint you a picture ,, there isn't a artistic bone in my body

that doesn't mean I don't appreciate nice painting on my walls in the house to enjoy ,, what I can do ,, is take one wall in my house and create my own live painting in my aquarium ,, what good is a landscape picture ,, if you don't put a tree in it or a Hawaiian Flame Wrasse
