I've been doing some research into using vinegar in the kalkwasser solution. What is everyone's thought on that? Would that form of carbon dosing interfere with the pellets I am running. Wasn't considering using the full dose just a little to help with the kalk solution. Thoughts?

From what I understand, adding vinegar is just going to keep the kalk super saturated longer. When kalk powder or mixed in water is exposed to air/c02 it loses it's potency. So by adding the vinegar it helps it last longer. No reason not to do it, but at the same time, its the amount that you use which is what I see could cause problems with the addition of bio-pellets or without. The more vinegar that is used the more carbons are being added to the tank, which in the end can fuel an algae outbreak of some sort.

There is always more chemistry involved. If I actually knew the chemistry behind what we do, and could explain it exactly, no one would read it and actually comprehend it anyways.
