What do you have them sitting on? I see you have bare bottom.

Just picked up 2 days ago

I'm still new in. I'm still new with clam and wonder if they would move on their own if place in sand bed. Reason I ask, I notice my Derasa rotated today.

Here's mine. I can't seem to keep its shell clean. None of my cuc want to touch the gha on it. I have to periodically manually remove it.

I'm SO JEALOUS!! I've tried twice to have Maxima Clams, but both died within a week of being in my tank :(

Never give up, clams are tricky but very rewarding and worth the fight.

Thanks. Both attempts were from Live Aquaria's Diver's Den. I may try to find a LFS that sells them and try that instead.

I got mine from a coral farmers market from unique corals. I did a quick visual inspection before putting it in but somehow missed an aptasia and bubble algae growing on it and now can't get rid of the Gha growing on it. They get all kinds of critters growing in their scales of their shells.

Great clams everyone. What par does everyone have where the clams are placed?

It was about 250 but I've been slowly increasing that lately.

Perfectly normal. They can move until there happy
Need to move my Derasa. Jaw fish keep trying to dig under it. Question is, l have another spot in mind but have a huge bubble coral there. Will my bubble sting it?
