Every time I see someone posting about high end corals I get disappointed when I see a single zoanthid polyp, dime sized mushroom, quarter inch nub of an acro, etc...

I want to see large colonies (mother colonies) of these high end corals! Lets see pictures of the colonies that these high end corals asking $125, $500, $1000 for a single tiny frag came from!

That being said here is the "start" of my high end colony. I started with a single hallucination polyp and have grown to four (one is out of view).

Thanks! Yes all pictured are in/from my system

The Fruitopia is an acro. It grew very funny on me, almost like a vertical encrusting then started throwing branches lol

Hardly c0l0nies. Nothing personal, guys...but, to the OP, colonies don't exist because they've all been fragged up into bugger nub frags, and, as soon as one of those bugger nubs sprouts another 1 polyp branch, it gets fragged off and sold off as a new bugger nub frag.

Please do not show the expensive ones! I know I'll want one. Don't even tease me with a blurred photo.

I understand why they don't exist, but I also believe that some people have larger colonies of these corals. I know I have a few higher end zoanthids/mushrooms and I plan to let them form larger colonies before I decide to frag.

There's got to be some out there!

So a 8"x10" "frag" of strawberry fields or a 7" tall by 6" wide piece of a reef raft "frag" isn't a colony? Lol it's larger than what you would get if you buy mariculture pieces

What you sent is exactly what I was hoping people would share.

I see these frags and they're beautiful, but I can't imagine how beautiful they are when they grow larger. Personally I cannot wait to see what my Hallucination colony looks like as it grows from 1 to 4 to 10 polyps and more! It's going to be amazing.

Love that JF Beach Bum! It's one on the bucket list for sure but I can't justify a few hundred on a small piece.

This is a reason why I was hoping people would share! Maybe they look so awesome that you'll finally see it could be worth it.

But, I also think some of these prices are crazy, but then again, they are beautiful.
