Haven't seen this in many many years. Did not do well for me.

I recently measured the green leather and it's more then 24" across when expanded. Unfortunately as you can see it's got no where to grow and is touching many corals so I probably will eventually frag it again. One day I'll have a larger tank and just let it grow.

You are correct, this an oldie which was common more than 10 years ago. Used to be called Blue African Xenia. Is a blue cespitularia. Care requirements similar to xenias, stable PH and Alk. Truly a beauty

I finally found the blue finger coral I've been looking for.

Yes back then $100 for a frag was a lot. The regular purple cespitularia grew like nothing I ever had before. Fortunately I was able to cash in big time with that. People were always knocking on my door for some. The "Blue" though just melted away in the same conditions. Locally I don't think too many people had success with it or I would have just kept buying more.

I have a few types of Xenia in my tank. A white pulsing stalk Xenia, a metallic blue, and a darker maroon with bluish tips. I have a couple of wants on my list that I hope to acquire at some point. My worst fear though is them closing down sources before I can do that.
