Mine aren't slow growing at all.

Got mine around 6 months ago? It was the size of a dime. Now its probably close to 3inches across and I have like 4 or 5 babies that are about the size of a nickel. When I got it, it was primarily the gold color. Shortly after it hit about 1 inch it started getting a lot of red. About 2 months ago it started getting green.

Or would this be considered slow growth?

Placement is very high pretty much the top of my tank. With medium flow.

Has anyone tried propagating it by nicking the foot? Not a complete slice, but just a cut. That speeds up division in a lot of 'shrooms.

I had mine for a year it sprouted a couple baby's but only grew from a dime to a quarter... Still only has red and orange...

Great shrooms guys I know of an lfs by me that has 2 polyp jawbreaker with about 3 or 4 colors. I have been trying to get him to sell to me but won't budge maybe I can snag a pic next time I'm there and post up :wink:

yeah but where are they located in the tank? a couple inches from the top? half way down?

I'm using LEDs and T5s. The lights are about foot 1/2 above the tank and the mushrooms are about 3 inches from the top of the waterline.

One baby just floated away and is at the bottom of the tank. Going to see how it does down there.

I had at the top of my frag rack under t5's and it actually bleached out. had to bring him down to the ground under partial shade until it got back it's color and I'm slowly bringing back up again.

I had it cooking on a frag rack for a couple months maybe 3" of water above it then I moved it down about 12" or so under the lights.... My bulbs are 6" off the water.... I didn't notice Amy difference in the color or growth no matter where I placed it...

That one above is 7+ years old. We started counting since it was imported. The last color to came in was the purple. The one i ported has red/orange/lime green/dark green/pink/blue/ then last violate and purpleish. That was the color they came in i was told. Mine only has orange red and lime green, but it looks like it is splitting into two nice quarter size pieces.

I have had it about 6mths it just had some baby's last month it has looked like that for a long time its mainly the lights I have leds med flow mp60 and its closer to the bottom and its bigger now.
