What is it? Improvised Dosing Device (IDD) made from used plastic bottles and Intravenous dripper purchased from local pharmacy. Very precise (20 drips equal to 1 ml), I can drip a litre of liquid for two weeks continuously. Major element well maintained (calcium 400ppm, dKh 8, magnesium 1380ppm). So far all inhabitants are happy.

Embarrassed why? Your tank looks awesome. How many drops of kalkwasser are you putting in?

My setup might be a bit ghetto compared to some around here... but it works for me.

Coralbox doser, Core7, dosing tube holder provided by printed reef solutions. No fancy reservoirs, the original bottles work fine. Still need to label the tubes and do something to pin the hoses down a bit.

I used to add kalkwasser periodically to my float-valve run ATO, but as I get precipitate (ATO is uncovered) that seems to jam up the float valve, I plan on switching to a separate dosing system. My plan is to buy a 2 quart glass milk jug and run it as a gravity-fed system (simple, no pump) with a bit of vinegar added. I need to review the video to make sure the cap is big enough for 2 holes and tubing.

Embarrassed why? Your tank looks awesome. How many drops of kalkwasser are you putting in?

Usually 1.5 litre fully saturated kalk will last about a week. Calcium and alk stabilize at 400 & 8 respectively.

Yeah I was going to save money and add it directly to.my ato reservoir but didn't want the crumb matter in there, so bought a kalkwasser dripper that sits to the side and drops it into the sump. Hopefully it will not affect my ato sensors that way.

This is my dosing system for my 150 Gal mixed reef.

All of my containers are transparent or translucent. They are calibrated in mLs so I can visually see each day how much of each was actually delivered. Having had the experience of a “doser gone wild” or stopping, this helps me to visually see the amount delivered. My dosing chart (see below) informs me of the amount that should be remaining after each dosing period.

The containers are back lit to make them easier to read.

I dose seachem products like carbonatos and reef plus and Mg from Kent and they have all my parameters stable kh 11 Ca 440 Mg 1350 and all my reef look good.

Good question. There are systems (Triton as an example) that combine the different elements into "packages". This can reduce the number of individual elements dosed. I have chosen to dose them individually so as to have the ability to change the level of each component separately as needed. Many reefers have reported great success with Triton system and I am considering giving it a try, but my original setup was with the individual elements and I have had good success with this method...and think if it isn't broke why fix it

That's Red Sea. Which is why I chose AquaForest. Triton uses 4 heads so I could move to their products if I wanted.

Up top is 3 DOS units for auto water change 7 gallons per day and ATO amount varies roughly 6 gallons per day and Aquaforest Comp 123 52ml per day
down below on the Kore 5th Im doin NOPOX 4ml, Flatworm Stop 2ml, Coral Booster 2ml, lanthanum chloride 1ml and Acro Power 3ml.
