Lets see those JF Flame Acros!

Struggling to get that deep red as well :(

Mine looks similar. I have heard that red colors in sps are pretty dependent on potassium levels also. I don't know if anyone could help confirm this though!

I really hate love this coral. Takes forever to grow its base. Mine is going on 6 months of just spreading out. Im finally starting to see some tips pop out of base. Def one that needs patience.

What kinda light levels are we all running? How about nutrients? I just got a nice sized frag of this and it's brown with brown tips. It's probably getting 160-200par right now.

My nitrates are around 4ppm and phosphates are 0-0.04ppm

Mine is growing under 250-300 par, but I started it around 150 and increased it over a few months.
My N03 is problematic low zero to 0.25 on the RSPro test kit. P04 varies 0.04-0.12.

FWIW I found a 'more color accurate' pic from a year ago...

This is one of my favorite corals. The colors are so vibrant and I really like the growth structure. Mine is in a tough spot to photograph. I'll have to get a top down shot of it

Mine don't get deep red until they get about golf ball size. Mine usually encrust a ton before they start to branch. 400 PAR, .1N and .01P.

I've not really seen photos of this piece with the pink base...is it so hard to achieve? How much PAR does this piece need?

Generally speaking FoxFlame is known as a "low light SPS", with recommendations in the 150 to 200 range, but it seems some folks have it adapted to higher (250-350) light as well.

I just got a small nub and it looks so ugly that I thought of chugging it out .
But I shall wait . Currently in quite high light of 350+ under radium halides .
Is it suggested to move it lower with my other smooth skins ?

Regards,
Abhishek
