Mine is fed from a Tee off my return pump.
Water enters from the rear top right through spray bar, and then overflows into an overflow on the left side and then flows back to my sump.
There is also an emergency drain at the top, if the large bottom drain were to clog.

As you can see it's setup strictly for chaeto, but it could have been a display fuge with various macros and substrate if I wanted it to be.
