What's up fellow, reefers! We all make 'em, we all use 'em, and you know as well as I do, that we all love 'em! So, let's see all of those wacky DIY tools that you've come up with to meet a need in your reefing adventure(s), because nobody has a monopoly on good ideas!

After all, like we used to say in the army, "if it's stupid but it works, it ain't stupid"!

I'll go first to kick this thing off...

Have you got a large sandbed? Tired of manually picking up shells, rock, and other debris from your otherwise pristine display? Well, look no further! I present to you Styx's Sand Sifter 3000! Wish you had some sort of implement to make your life easier? Well, you've come to the right place! That's right, ladies and gentlemen, this little baby right here scoops, sifts, and separates your shells and other unsightly debris from your sand bed. All from a comfortable distance to avoid those pesky bites from your ornery clownfish. Complete your maintenance in record time.

What we have here is a simple 24" lucite or acrylic rod cemented to a plastic kitty litter scoop. shells and debris go in, sand comes out. It's just that simple.

May not look like much but this works great for removing bubble algae and other small unwanted things without putting your hands in the tank. Made from Rigid 1/2"OD PETG tubing which is much stronger than acrylic tubing. Will not crack. I made multiple lengths for ease of use.

Nice! I'm a big fan of PETG. Just redid all of my plumbing in the house with it. I still have some lying around in the garage and will likely pirate this idea!
