So I'm finalizing plans for my new tank and just need to figure out what I'm going to do as far as a sump/refuge and return pump go so let's see what you've got going on down there. I need ideas!

Thx!

Sorry if there's already a thread similar to this, I couldn't find one.

keep in mind, this is only a 50g DT so my space is very limited right now.
here is the whole setup ...

This is an old picture, haven't taken any recent ones. DT is a 65 gallon reef-ready. Sump is a DIY 20 high with glass baffles.

I'm embarrassed to show this, especially given the neat ones everyone's posted so far. :-)

Here's what's under my 90g:

below?? i would put my refugium above the display so all your pods can overflow into the mouths of your fish and corals.

hope that gets you thinking

good luck

I knew that one was coming! Eventually that is the plan...just need to find a way to do it while living in an apartment and looking good!

here is my setup.it's 30x14x16 under a 90 gallon. going to be putting a 30 gallon under here soon to get an extra 6 inchs on length and making it a skimmer / return / refuge .

My sump is in the basement so I have plenty of down below. The tub is my frag tank with a 75 gallon sump/fuge

Skimmer is a rs 250 with an askoll 1500 over kill on it. It really works great with the ghetto mod I did.

Now that's what I call a life support system Gary.... Very nice even the 2 big mag heaters are those both return pumps??
Thanks! No, only one Mag 12 is on the return. This is under a 140. The second one was meant as a temporary to run my chiller and refugium, butI took the fuge out.

I have a new sump idea that I am working on and I will rid myself of the "two big heaters." :-) Actually, the chiller doesn't kick in that often and only runs for short periods. The fan on the sump helps a lot.

thats a nice clean set up man, not much you could do to improve it but have all wireless pumps etc... wouldn't that be the bomb?? i see all these photos and look at my tank and it drives me nut's that no matter how clean you try to make it there always a bunch of wires everywhere:(
p.s. i was gonna say without those 2 mag pumps you prolly wouldnt need a chiller...lol

Wow, you guys have some skills for clean set ups.
I am way too embarrassed to show my clutter under my 45G cube setup, but I have a lot in there. LOL

I do have a question though, how do you guys seem to keep your sumps and refugiums so clean looking? Mine seem to look like crap.
